Review: I bought this for my home office and it was the perfect length for my setup. I was able to plug in my work laptop, my home laptop, monitor, standing desk, and a space heater (when it was cold) and they ran perfectly.The product is sturdy and offers great surge protection. I will probably buy more of these in the future if I need more outlets with surge protectors and would recommend it for all uses. It works great for home offices too!

Title: Behold! The PERFECT basic Power Strip!
Review: I needed a power strip that fit a very specific criteria, and I canât believe how hard it was to find one. It needed to have a 15ft cord, closable outlet covers, and have a length of less than 10.5â. I spent a whole night looking at power strips until I found the actual correct dimensions buried in the questions & answers (9.98â x 2.01â x 1.34â)One of my first Amazon orders 8+ years ago was this now-discontinued power strip cable organizer box, and I figured it would be perfect to protect a power strip I wanted to put next to my coffee table. However, finding a power strip that fit my needs was way more difficult than it should have been. When this box was made, a power strip was still just a power strip. Now we have what can only be described as an arms race to cram as many outlets on to a single surge protector, with many having dozens on a single unit. I feel like an old man telling my grandkids âback in my day, a power strip had 6 outlets and was only 10â longâ as they nod silently while wheeling me into the nursing home.I have a loft space that I turned into a modest recording studio and home theater. All of my gear is plugged into various UPSâs, surge protectors, and power conditioners, most by a reliable brand that starts with the letter F. This just needed to be a basic power strip, capable of handling the usual consumer electronics while being able to withstand coffee table mishaps. Should you plug all of your most expensive gear into it? Maybe, but I probably wouldnât. However, if you just need a basic, ordinary power strip with some handy features and typical dimensions, this does the job. The power switch works. All of the outlets and closable covers work. You can choose from multiple cord lengths that will fit just about any need. It knows what it is and it gets the job done. Thank you GE!

Review: 4 feet was long enough for my uses, others might choose a longer cable. The important thing is the 14-gauge wire used, never seen this in a power bar before. That means it can take a full load like from a toaster or a heater, something that draws a lot of power as well as your electronics and with a surge protector too. I used one for my fridge, that’s a heavy load. I want to protect the compressor and any electrical components in the fridge. Other power bars/surge protectors with 16-gauge wiring aren’t thick enough for heavy loads and could overheat. Those models are strictly for electronics or light loads.
