Title: Unstuff your sinuses while ironing!
Review: Replacing my Black & Decker iron F630S circa 1993 (see picture for comparison), which still works!!!! I have only owned Black & Decker irons, and I believe this will be only my 3rd one. My mother had a Rowena, which I loved, but I have read such mixed reviews, it put me off, not to mention the price.REVIEW: Black & Decker ICR2020 Vitessa GREEN non-stick soleplateVERY HAPPY WITH THIS IRON!Very nice design! Love the cord reelâa great feature. I was worried it didn’t have enough steam holes (some Rowenas have 400 holes), but it makes plenty of steam on the highest setting, #6. My glasses were fogging up! The water tank is easy to fill (not sure why some people have had problems), but there is a little cap over the fill hole that acts like a “funnel” when it is open to fill the iron. I wanted an auto shut-off, which this has, and also the Self-Cleaning button, which this has. My old iron had both these features & I think the self-cleaning feature may have contributed to it’s long life. The non-stick soleplate was also a must have, but not that easy to find, now. If you have ever had to use starch with a stainless steel soleplate, it is a nightmare! I’m not sure why the non-stick soleplate is hard to find now, but it is a must have for me! Heats up fairly quickly, I did not time this, but anything up to a few minutes is fine. I don’t need it to be at full heat in 20 seconds. The spray works fine (my old iron’s spray was more of a stream than spray). The shot of steam is also great and was on my previous iron. I feel like the Vitessa is the newest update for the iron I had, since it has most of the same features. This is not digital, it has a dial, which was not an issue for me. So far, it has not leaked or spit, but I know with my old one, if it started leaking or spitting, it meant it needed to be cleaned with the Self-Cleaning button. Seems to be a good weight, not too light and not heavyâit feels slightly lighter than the old one. If this lasts half as long as my old one, it will probably outlast me!

Title: So far can’t say enough good things about this iron.
Review: I have owned Rowenta Pro Master irons in the past and they all did the same thing over a period of time – would not come on when you plugged them in. So frustrating! When I saw Good Housekeeping rated this Black +Decker as their best budget choice I decided to give it a try. Love the size and the large water container. I tried it out on a 100% cotton blouse and it worked fine. It takes a few to warm up and the retractable cord doesn’t always work smoothly but for the budget friendly price I can overlook both. I haven’t had it long but so far so good. Hope it hold up!

Title: An EXCELLENT Ironðð!
Review: My not so old Roweta Iron which cost Big Bucks at our Tuesday Morning Store, developed a short in its cord, and I spent several years trying to iron things with an iron that would sporeratically stop heating during use. I decided to try Amazon because I have been very pleased with 95% of everything I’ve purchased through Amazon. I found this iron, I liked that it had a retractable cord, I liked the green colo, and how you loaded it with water. THEN, I actually used it, and now I â¤ï¸LOVEâ¤ï¸ this BLACK+DECKER Vitessa Advanced Steam Iron, ICR2020. I am highly impressed, and totally thrilled with everything about this iron. It is A GREAT deal, and it makes my ironing a pleasure. Thank Youâ£ï¸ Black + Decker, your name is one my parents old reliable companies for their appliances, and now I know whyð Stick with what you know will work.ðð!

Title: Leaked and sputtered
Review: I purchased this iron based on the good reviews on both Amazon and other sites. Unfortunately, I must have received a defective one because it leaked and sputtered water so much I couldn’t use it. The first time I tried it I thought I may have overfilled the tank a little so I removed some of the water and gave it time to warm up again, but it didn’t help. So I removed all of the water and let it sit for a day and tried it again. This time I carefully filled it half way, I put it on the highest temperature, and let it warm up for five minutes. It still leaked. Whenever I returned the iron to the upright position I could see water running down the bottom of the iron and hot water would sputter out the steam holes on the plate (thankfully I always turn the iron away from me when I pick it up). I have been ironing since I was a teenager (a good 35 years) and I iron every week, so I know how to use an iron. This iron was impossible to use because my clothes and the iron board were getting too wet for the iron to glide across the fabric. Although I probably just had bad luck and received a “lemon” I didn’t want to take the risk by replacing it with another Black and Decker. I ended up going back to Sunbeam, which is the brand I was replacing and the new one works great.

Title: Great Iron
Review: Not too heavy and very easy to use. So far I’ve used it without steam and it has worked very well. Glides smoothly and takes wrinkles out immediately. The pointed tip works well around buttons.

Title: A couple of thingsâ¦â¦
Review: While this iron is very lightweight and easy to use, my two major complaints are:1. The non-stick plate? Not so non-stick. I tried on every setting and it does not glide easily which poses a problem for people ironing multiple items as, if youâre not careful, your clothes will snag and possibly burn.2. The spout that you lift to pour the water into the iron does not stay open while youâre pouring water into it. This lead to water being spilled all over the floor. Because the iron needs to be held at a tilt to fill this poses an issue. Filling an iron with water should not be a two person job.The retractable cord is a nice touch and the various heat settings are great. Fix the issues above and the product as a whole would be too.
