Title: Great all-around shoe
Review: I needed a shoe that I could wear out and about and also could go into the woods and hike a nice trail. I’m a bit of an overpacker, so having a shoe that would serve multiple purposes for me really helps reduce what I’m carrying. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this shoe, and overall, it was rated quite well. My expectations were fairly high, and this shoe truly knocked it out of the park. First, they’re incredibly lightweight, which is important for both usage and packing. They’re attractive looking and match most casual outfits. I wear a size 8, and ordered a size 8. Perfect fit. The toe box is spacious and the shoe fits perfectly. The light grey is a nice, simple look, but I do worry about how easy they’ll be to clean. They’ve been pretty good at fending off dirt, even as I tromped through the woods after a rain. I need ankle support on most hikes, so I likely won’t wear these on my longer or more difficult hikes, but for an easy hike, I’ll definitely choose them. Don’t get me wrong, if I didn’t need ankle support, I’d wear them for all hikes, but I’m far too clumsy not to have mid-height boots at the least. The tread is impressive, and I definitely believe they’ll be great for any type of walking I choose to wear them for. I have flat feet, so I sometimes struggle with shoes, but these are the right amount of support. My feet haven’t hurt once since wearing them. I’ve even started using them on my walking pad at home. They aren’t waterproof, so I’ll have to keep that in mind for rainy days. But if you’re looking for a light-weight trail running shoe, this could be a great choice for you!

Title: Great for Hiking If You Have Wider Feet!
Review: I’m getting more and more into hiking, and needed a trail shoe (not a hiking boot) that would be able to handle Southern California’s easy to moderate trails. After doing my research and reading tons of reviews for several brands, I bought the Altra Lone Peak 7s. I’m so glad I did! My feet are on the wider side and tend to blister with the slightest bit of regular friction. These are so comfortable and allow for my wider foot to swell a little bit when hiking, while also giving my feet a nice cushion. I’m breaking them in now, and all has gone well on the trails with these Lone Peaks thus far. The toe box is obviously wider than usual, so if you’re looking for more of a “regular” looking trail shoe, you won’t be feelin’ that part. However, if you’re open to a bit of a “different” looking shoe that still does what it says it will do (whether trail running or easy to moderate hiking), these are it! I also like that they have some cool color combos to add some pizzazz to my hiking outfits. They’re worth every penny! Couldn’t be happier. 🙂

Title: Have NEVER been crazier for a shoe before!
Review: These are my third try at an foot shaped shoe… I absolutely LOVE them! My first pair of wide toe shoes had me hooked on the idea. Unfortunately they didn’t last long. They began falling apart after a few months :(The toe box was just wide enough to where my little toes weren’t crammed, but i still loved them more than any other shoe I tried before…These Altra Lone Peaks are SO MUCH BETTER. The toe box is much wider than my last brand. They’re super comfortable. No breaking in needed. They have the perfect amount of support and hold my heel in nicely. I love how they feel when going a couple of miles of the trails. Great grip, no rubbing, decently breathable, and my toes have room roam lol.I’m an 8.5 and the 8.5 fit perfect. I have a pretty narrow heel and a much wider toe area. After 32 years of wearing the wrong kind of shoe my little toes had become very curved and smooshed into the next toe. I’ve noticed my next smallest toe has started becoming more bent and that’s when I realized I NEEDED something else. Instead of just settling for whatever was “OK”. Thankfully these were on sale but unfortunately… I’m HOOKED! I certainly recommend and will most definitely buy again.Thank you Altra for making a shoe for us wide toed and narrow heeled ladies 🙂

Title: Comfortable, could have better support
Review: These shoes were comfortable, lightweight, and super cute. However I did not feel that the arch support was adequate. I don’t feel as if there was any arch support in these shoes. They were fine at supporting my ankles and easy to clean, but the lack of arch support was noticeable after one or two hikes. Fit was perfect, same size as my other running shoes. I liked how they didn’t look like a hiking boot so I didn’t have to change shoes to go eat after a long day outside if I did not have the time!

Title: Great running shoe
Review: Love the wide toe box. Very comfortable and durable. I prefer these over any other running shoe. I run marathons and do triathlons and this is my go to shoe. I have been caught in the rain in these and they have dried well with out getting ruined or stinky.

Title: Finally! Shoes that fit
Review: I’ve been holding out for years on buying quality shoes that would actually fit my wide feet. I ordered these because the price was great and I’ve been wanting to try Altras. Shipping took much longer than expected, but it was worth the wait. I wear these everyday. They are so comfortable. No more tightness around my toes. They are also very breathable and lightweight. The material on top is thin to add flexibility, so I’m not sure how they’ll hold up in the winter, but I have no regrets! If you have wide feet and/or bunions, don’t wait any longer!

Title: Great Shoes
Review: I LOVE these shoes. In the past, I have had such a problem with my tennis shoes rubbing against my toes – particularly on longer walks. Even when I buy shoes that are labeled as wide, after a mile or two, my big toes wind up being so sore and chafed. For a while I thought this was just the way it had to be, but then I found this brand. The shape of their shoes actually make sense and match the natural foot shape. I loved them from the second I put them on – there was no “breaking in” period, they were comfortable right away. Great support, good traction, and best of all, plenty of room in the toe box. I bought these because I wanted something versatile that I could wear on paved surfaces as well as on a hiking trail. The day after I got them I went for a 6 mile walk and my toes didn’t rub once. No issues, no soreness, nothing. Would definitely recommend.

Review: I ordered these after wearing Vivos for a while. These are really comfortable – more so than my Vivo Trail FGs. Sizing is accurate, I normally wear a 9 just to get the additional width or I wear a men’s 7 for the same reason. Women’s 9 is perfect, lots of width and toe room.

Review: Me encantan. Sí se sienten menos acolchonados que otras marcas, pero igual son súper cómodos y te acostumbras rápido. Son perfectos para trail. La calidad es bastante buena y sí se siente la diferencia en la parte frontal. Recomendados.

Review: I’ve been wearing Lone Peaks for the past 6 years for my hiking adventures. Since going through 4 pairs on a long thru-hike, I’ve yet to find another shoe that I find as comfortable and grippy on trails. Gen 7 is the best looking women’s version they’ve released so far (the mint & white combo is sharp) and it feels as good as ever underfoot. Fabric seems more durable than previous generations. For wearing with a heavy pack, I add a set of insoles from Superfeet to help with arch support and distributing my heel strike. My regular shoe size is 7, sometimes 7.5, and I went with my usual Lone Peak size of 7.5 in these to make room for cushioned socks and swollen feet when wearing a heavy pack. They felt a bit tight over the top of my feet at first but the fabric relaxed quickly to give me the fit of my dreams.
