“How did you two meet?”

It’s the quintessential question asked to every couple, and the answer is usually some bubbly, lovey-dovey tale of being struck in the bum by Cupid’s arrow. But Lottie Gardner’s meet-cute was a little different. She was trolling a wealthy neighborhood in Beverly Hills, searching for someone to take her as his bride―you know, to make the arch nemesis who just fired her jealous. And billionaire Huxley Cane was conveniently stomping around the block like some sort of gorgeous ogre, mumbling about a business deal gone wrong.

That’s when they bump into each other.

No sparks. No fireworks. Not even the first seed of blossoming love.

But the next thing Lottie knows, she’s scarfing down chips and guac, listening to Huxley lay out his problems, and then he tells her: He lied to a crucial client, and he needs a huge favor. A fake fiancée. He’s talking living in his mansion together, going on intimate double-dates, and pretending they’re head-over-heels in love…and engaged.

It’s ridiculous, but people do ridiculous things when they’re desperate. And Lottie and Huxley both reek of desperation. So, she strikes up the deal.

Except her one mistake might be accidentally falling for the incomparable, insufferable Huxley Cane.

Title: SO GOOD
Review: Don’t let that cute cover fool you – this is SMOKIN’ HOT, with sexual tension dripping from every page. I was HOOKED from the start, and I devoured it at an alarming rate, even for one of Quinn’s rom coms. And this IS a rom com, albeit a very tense and steamy one. I loved the playfulness and humor of the story, the interactions with our hero’s brothers, the vibrancy of the connection, the push/pull, and sizzle of chemistry. This workaholic alpha doesn’t know what hit him – our heroine is bold and proves herself to be strong and stubborn too. Their connection is absolute FIRE, and I loved the friction between them. It’s a hot slow burn from strangers to enemies to lovers, and I was all too happy to hold on for the ride. The story follows Huxley, a guy who is married to his job. There’s never been anything more important in his life than work, especially since he’s in business with his brothers. So when a deal seems to be slipping through his fingers, Huxley lets loose a few lies in an act of desperation. He claims to be engaged with a baby on the way, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. Unsure how to handle the predicament he’s gotten himself into, Huxley’s guard is down when he meets an unusual woman. Lottie meets Huxley while wandering through a rich neighborhood (looking for a rich husband, as one does), and she’s also feeling desperate. The two discover that they might be able to help each other out, and that’s the foundation of their not so meet cute. But as the two spend time together, their clashes begin to escalate – and there seems to be a fine line between love and hate.I always, ALWAYS look forward to new books by Quinn, and I went into this one blind. It’s the start of what I sincerely hope is a brand new series, and I loved the vibe. It’s got tons of humor and great family connections, as well as the sexual tension that Quinn has been ramping up with some of her newest releases. This book is seriously fan-worthy at times, with a torturous slow burn that borders on scorching. Huxley and Lottie have zero problems with their chemistry – it’s their communication that could use a little help. I loved watching this workaholic discover that he’s got a jealous, possessive side, and it rears its ugly head many times. Their path to love has bumps along the way, but I SO appreciated that the vibe remained (mostly) light throughout. It’s certainly not as angst-ridden as some of Quinn’s other romances, which means that cute cover is not inaccurate… this just isn’t your momma’s rom com, lol. I was lucky enough to receive an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this steamy fake relationship romance.

Title: 3.7 Stars: Definitely a Comedy
Review: RATING SYSTEM:5 – Absolute love4 – Enjoyed it3 – I liked it… mostly2 – Forced myself to finish, but at least I finished1 – Couldn’t finish itMoments:My highlighting system involves highlighting scenes I enjoy, find funny, and things that make me go “aw”. This book had 20 moments funny, 10 enjoyed, and 6 “aw” – both awww and aw :(.What I Liked:Dual POV. The siblings. The question scenes. Enemies to lovers. What I disliked:Some thoughts are a bit cringey.Notes:Characters: Lottie (FMC) calls herself a doormat at the very beginning of this book, literally Page 2, but I don’t see that. Despite my complaint above, she is pretty fierce and funny. Huxley (MMC) is kind of a “smart idiot”, but he’s charming. Both Lottie’s sister, Kelsey, and Huxley’s brothers, Breaker and JP, are great. Kelsey had some bad takes, in my opinion, but she was sweet. Breaker and JP are funny.Plot/Story: I really do enjoy fake relationships and enemies to lovers (true enemies to lovers, not just one character sucks and the other stands up for themself). This book did both well, in my opinion, and I very much enjoyed the questions they asked each other.Romance: This is not insta love, which is wonderful. It is quite fast-paced. However, they really do get to know each other first. Big things that insta-love doesn’t do like names and jobs; but also the important stuff, like their likes and dislikes, interests, past, etc. It’s always important to show a relationship blooming in a book, instead of just telling.General: I do love the climax of this book, it makes my heart hurt. I wish the timeline was a little clearer, though. It’s definitely linear, but it seems a little rushed. I feel like, even though the romance was developed well, they moved very fast. I enjoyed the relationship between each set of siblings.Overall:I’m going to read the next book, I’m curious about JP.

Review: 5 ⭐️ 3.5🌶.This is the first time I read Meghan Quinn’s work and definitely won’t be the last.Wow, I really enjoyed reading this book, truly laughed out loud, the spice took its time to arrive though (don’t know if Meghan is a Slow Burn writer) and when it came it was totally worth it. I specially love when a book shatters my heart, that feeling in my chest… when the hero really messed it up and is trying to get the heroine back, idk it does something in me as if I like to suffer 🫠Huxley and Lottie are everything 😍, once Huxley opened up and showed the real him to Lottie things started getting very well between them, oh and I think he fell for her first. Lottie a very funny, spitfire, kind-hearted woman, who put everyone else before herself, I love her.

Review: 4.5! Great read! First half was full of hilarious parts -especially the internal dialogue – that made me laugh until my stomach hurt. I have to say that I think everyone was very unfair to Lottie though and not taking her feelings into consideration or her side in some instances that they should’ve which honestly irritated me a lot. It was an insane plot which was a fun spin on things but the moments they landed into made it worth the crazy. So funny and bonus for the Pretty Woman undertone! Loved it!
