Title: Highly recommended!
Review: If you love reading I highly recommend you to get a kindle. This model is super light weight and portable. I included a comparison with a water bottle. Fits in my small purse. Is like having a whole library with you. Allows you to highlight and have easy access to your notes. This would be my first kindle. If you don’t understand a word it actually has a dictionary included so you just press the word and it will automatically pop up the description. The batery life is endless. Fast shipping. Easy set up. Easy to transfer files. In The settings you can find a tutorial on how to navigate your kindle. Love that it gives you recommendations based on what have you been reading. Truly love it.

Title: A great upgrade for an older Kindle
Review: I love the update. It’s incredibly light weight, and fits well in the hand. I can slip this thing easily into my pocket and carry it with me to read when I want. The light now allows me to continue reading when it gets dark, and the screen does seem clearer than my old kindle. For reference, my prior device has got to be at least 6 years old. It was good, battery lasted forever. It was comfortable to hold. But for the price, this new Kindle is a great upgrade, for the reasons I’ve mentioned. And the fact that a lot of the other stuff (software, what buttons do) remains the same, all I had to do was pick it up and start reading.One note, I have the version with ads on the lock screen. For some, it’s the worst. For me, I don’t mind, and I actually have been directed to some books I really enjoyed.

Title: A device with a single purpose: reading
Review: Everyone has a smartphone these days, so at this point the Kindle is for one very particular audience: people who want to read a lot of books, and read them with a minimum of distractions. With this version, Amazon has refined the Kindle to the point where it’s just about ideal for this purpose. I’ve owned several previous Kindles, including an early Paperwhite, and currently own a couple of iPads, an iPhone, and a MacBook. For the purposes of long, immersive reading sessions, this Kindle is my best option. The battery life is long enough so that even with constant reading you only have to recharge once or twice a week (you can extend that by turning off wireless). The Kindle also has by far the best screen for immersive reading: it’s sharp and clear, with many options for different lighting conditions ranging from bright sunlight (Kindles leave tablets in the dust as far as bright-sun reading is concerned) to pitch black (the dark mode format is ideal for this). You can choose whether to read with a vertical orientation or a horizontal one — and this option of a horizontal orientation allows you (among other things) to read poetry on a Kindle without imposing premature line breaks. This Kindle is also extremely light and easy to hold for hours on end (my iPad mini is too heavy for that). And as with all Kindles, you can adjust the type size and font so that reading is comfortable for you – I love paper books, I really do, but I need bigger type.In a way, though, what’s best about this Kindle is what it doesn’t have. You can’t read your email. You can’t go on social media. Amazon’s Kindle browser is perpetually “experimental” — good! I pick up the Kindle when I want to read books, not when I want to lose my afternoon down an internet rabbit hole. That said, you do get just enough of the internet to assist in your reading. From within any book you can look up unfamiliar names/places on Wikipedia, and there’s a great built-in dictionary too. (You can download dictionaries for any language you read, and set them as your default in settings). But apart from those features, the internet might as well be on Mars. Fine by me. If I want to look at videos of puppies or lose my temper about politics, I have my phone (and several other machines, unfortunately). When I look at my Kindle, I can feel my blood pressure go down. More to the point, I can hide my phone under a cat and read books for hours and hours.That might not be your idea of an ideal afternoon. If it is, and you know who you are, this Kindle is pretty inexpensive and much lighter and easier to carry than tablets or physical books. It allows you to carry thousands of books around with you and then sit and read them without distractions. It’s limited in its other functions – and that’s exactly what makes it ideal.As you can probably tell from the above review, I have the patience of a gnat when it comes to content I don’t want to see, and for that reason I opted for the ad-free version. This allows me to have the lock screen be the cover of the current book I’m reading, which is extremely endearing. That said, the version with ads does not insert ads into your books; they’re not obtrusive in that way. So you can definitely save a few bucks by getting the version with ads – it won’t mess with your reading experience.

Title: Light and portable, easy reading.
Review: Works great and like the small size and portability. Glad I got the smaller Kindle as I’ve got several tablets if I want something bigger with color. Easy to put epubs or pdfs on if you have other books purchased in the past in either form. Graphics are better than I thought they would be too.This is as close as you can get to an electronic paperback book today.

Title: First kindle
Review: We bought this for our daughter for her first Kindle on her birthday. I absolutely love that while she is reading there is no interruptions of text messaging or anything like that. It’s so The performance of this is amazing. It’s so easy to use. The screen is the perfect size. It’s like holding a book. The quality of this product is great so portable and it’s so easy to find a book that you would just fall in love with to read.

Title: Perfect for one-handed reading!
Review: I initially bought the larger display paperwhite for the features. That one is waterproof and has many different color settings that are easy on the eyes. However, that was when I had a toddler and could easily use both my hands to read while she ran around and played. Fast-forward two years and now I have a newborn that I am breastfeeding. I could no longer read comfortably because that paperwhite is too heavy for my one hand (granted I am a very petite woman with small hands). So I traded in an older device I had and bought this one. I have absolutely no regrets.I can now hold my baby in one arm and read with the other. My sister who also has small hands and does not have a baby says she appreciates the small size of this kindle as well.However, I will say that if weight and size is not a big deal for you, then this paperwhite has significantly less features. It is not waterproof and the color options are dismal. I wear glasses most of the time so I appreciate the larger kindleâs color options very much and wish this small one had the same quality. I and my children have dropped both devices and they have not cracked yet (knock on wood) so I can attest to them being relatively durable.Overall, it works great in the sense that it is fast to respond in comparison to many other kindle devices and it is easy to hold and use. I love that the paperwhites connect directly to goodreads and keep track of my reading for me (you can opt out of this if it is not something you are interested in).As an avid reader, I cannot recommend the paperwhites enough. I understand that not everyone has the luxury of having multiple e-readers so I hope this review helps you pick the best one for you!
