For a better experience, please try to fill the roof bag with enough items to avoid water pooling on the roof due to an unfilled bag.
The teeth of the zipper are prone to water leakage, please ensure the zipper is fully closed; After closing the zipper, please cover the zipper waterproof flap, and the Velcro is fastened when in use.
Please note that the Sailnovo rooftop cargo carrier is not 100% waterproof in extreme weather, so please pack your clothes in an extra dry bag!

Title: Super easy set up and lots of room!

Title: Fits everything
Review: Not a review writer but I had to pop on to submit one after traveling with this. We ordered a much more expensive brand prior to a long trip, but it wasnât going to get delivered in time. We ordered this as a backup. This thing is AMAZING!We opted for the larger size. We fit two pack-and-plays, a stroller, and bags for a 7 day trip for 2 adults and 3 kids. This held everything and had room for more. We honestly couldâve gone for the smaller size but weâre happy to have this one to fit larger items for camping, etc. It fit great on top of our van, strapped secure to the roof rack bars, and I didnât feel any drag or pull while driving. The zippers and straps are heavy duty and the velcro holds super tight. We went through a few rain storms and saw no signs of any leaks.We were so happy with this purchase that we cancelled our order for the $600 cargo carrier. Donât hesitate to buy this!

Title: Space and ease
Review: There was plenty of space for our luggage. It was very easy to assemble to the roof of the car. We didnât have cross bars, so we used the hooks on the car door frame. The only downside is that it was not water proof as it describes.

Review: I liked this product it worked well for out road trip only thing is from the pictures I thought it came with a protective mat for the roof of my truck, but it did not. I just used a non-slip rubber mat I had under a rug in the house seeing it was last minute but worked well. I did not have rails for the ties that come with it, and I was not about to undo the rubber molding around my door and risks leaks as the instructions says instead, I used aftermarket straps I had and use the loopholes built on my trucks roof railing. It did rain and all our things stayed dry so that was a plus.

Title: Works great, full or just partly full.
Review: I bought this for my daughter’s Toyota 4Runner (stock roof racks with stock crossbars). It fit perfectly between the crossbars when moved to the ends. She put an amazing amount of stuff into the carrier, but some ends weren’t entirely full. Because this bag design has straps that pull down from the TOP, you can get the carrier tied very tight even if it’s not full. (Some place the straps under the zipper, which makes it flop like mad.I had some leftover 3-mil plastic sheeting with which we wrapped her stuff, just in case. She drove through some rainstorms on the trip (driven rain), and had the carrier sitting on top of the truck for three weeks (standing rain), and the carrier didn’t leak at all.This was a good investment for a college kid.

Title: When it rains, it pours!
Review: Used the rooftop carrier for family of 6 vacation trip to PCB. The storage itself was nice, not having to pack the inside of the car so tight for a 13 hr trip. Came into heavy down pours while on our way to our destination. When we got our suitcases out at our first stop the clothes, shoes, etc on the bottom we’re wet. This was inside the suitcase!

Review: Very happy with this product and it definitely held quite a bit of our gear.It rained in excess of 4 hours one way and 2 hours back, with no evidence of leakage whatsoever.As it was hard to visualize during the initial product comparison, I’m glad I purchased the 20ft² carrier instead of the 15ft² (Go bigger.. always!)These units will definitely fit the roof of a Mini as well.. not that we used it on this rental.. just a good-to-know observation.Regardless of the fact we used a rental vehicle, a protective non-slip mat for the roof, under the unit is highly suggested.. as a just-in-case scenario.The zipper system and velcro flap that covers it seem solid.I did find it tricky to start either side’s zippers when closing. So I’d highly recommend not to fully open zippers and stop about 8 inches before reaching the “fully” unzipped position. Following this advice will not impede storage in the least.I do have to mention that you will have to get creative with the included bag for the carrier, as after the initial unpacking.. you will NEVER get it folded as skillfully back in.As a side note, in the provided instruction manual, you are told that you should not put live pets into the carrier. Sage advice indeed. I’d also suggest that it is unsuitable for unalive pets as well.

Review: We used this bag on a family holiday which involved about 20 hours of travel and it behaved perfectly throughout. It felt secure and everything remained dry. I’m mostly just writing this review to offer more info to anyone trying to secure the bag to a car without roof racks, as the instructions were really rubbish – the diagram even has the roof bag situated the wrong way round on the car! So here’s how we did it. Place the bag the way shown in the photos in this listing, rather than as shown in the diagram in the instructions. Use the two long straps to loop through the d-rings on the front and back of the bag and through the car in a circle (we didn’t lift the seal or anything – just straight through and the doors still closed just fine.) and tighten as much as possible. For extra security we also joined all six of the little straps together like a daisy chain to make a third long strap, which we used in the same way as the other two, to go through the d-rings in the centre of the car and loop through the doors. My other little hint would be that once the straps are tightened they have long bits dangling down, so we used a bunch of bulldog clips to pin up the dangly bits, so if you don’t have any then maybe buy a pack of those too as the straps would have been really annoying otherwise!There was minimal noise as a result of driving with the bag on the roof and the fuel consumption was surprisingly unaffected. The only downside – and it was really minor – was that the furthest back the three straps was slightly annoying to anyone above 6 foot sitting in the back seats as it was just at head-touching height, but this was at the minor inconvenience level rather than being a deal breaker, and most importantly the problem was not replicated where the driver was sitting, so safety was not compromised at all.I don’t regret buying this at all and it has saved us so much storage space when compared to a solid roofbox. It packs away easily into a neat little bag and can be stored in the attic until next time it is needed.
