Title: Makes perfectly fine although not beautiful omelets.
Review: What I like is that this device does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do. The end product has been predictable and perfectly fine. That being said, it does not produce omelets like you expect from a restaurant. Of course not… Would be a dream if it did! Instead of a beautiful chef-produced treat, you get a formed shape omelet that tastes great. Beats the heck out of a frozen omelet thrown in the micro.Prior to this purchase my wife would make me an omelet for a special occasion. I love an omelet and would be good all week hoping to get lucky on Saturday morning. Happened once in a blue moon. With this machine, I get an omelet any time I want…In any case, easy prep, brainless cooking ( we use a timer at 9 minutes ) and if you don’t overfill, easy cleanup. This and microwave bacon or sausage and it’s as easy as pouring a bowl of breakfast cereal.PaulEdit: Still grooving on the machine. To fight the preformed omelette look, we have been sprinkling some grated cheese on top AFTER cooking. Is hot enough to give some melt and slightly disguise the robo-chef appearance of the formed omelette.

Title: Couldn’t wait to try this out!
Review: I got this yesterday and was really anxious to try this out. The last omelet maker I owned was tough to use, and this one did not look like it would be.This is relative simple to use. Each side holds a two egg omelet with whatever fillings you want to put in. You mix it all together in a bowl while the machine is heating up. Pour the uncooked contents of the bowl into the machine, close the lid, wait about 10 minutes or less, and you have a fluffy, done omelet. My only problem was that the edges cook faster than the inside, so you do get a crunchy crust on the outside corners of the omelet, which I wasn’t really pleased with, but honestly the omelet tasted so good that I’m willing to excuse the browning corners. The machine is light weight and really easy to clean, everything wipes right off. My only complaint would be the length of the cord. In my kitchen, making a cord too short means I won’t use an appliance as often. The cord is about 2 feet long, which is shorter than I expected. However, with a little bit of ingenuity, I managed to get it plugged in and in a good spot. The outside of the machine gets hot while it cooks, so best to keep small hands away from it. You can tell its on by the indicator light at the top, but there’s nothing to stop a child from being burned if small fingers touch the sides while its cooking.Over all, I’d say four stars for this. It does what it says it does, and the omelets come out tasty. That was exactly what I was looking for when I ordered this!

Title: Be careful it gets hot in seconds!
Review: I couldn’t wait to pull this out of the box. I love omelette and made my very own. I read the directions and machine was a breeze to use.(1) Spray your maker first(2) Plug it into socket(3) Add egg mixture(4) I waited for longer than the normal time because I had potatoes, bell peppers, and sausage in my egg mixture turned out perfect.I wouldn’t let children operate this because it gets extremely hot quick. The value is great and weight of this is light. This machine can make small or large omelette depending on how much batter you pour. It makes 3 at a time.

Title: Useful Egg Maker!
Review: I use it a lot to make eggs as it is easy to make and clean instead of using the stove. If you find the center part of the eggs uncooked you can scramble it or turn the eggs or leave it longer in the egg maker. I always spray oil on the top and bottom before cooking then nothing will stick in the appliance. Also clean it up with a damp hand towel after each use. If anything sticks than soak with a little water and remove water and everything will come out instantly.

Title: Needs better designing
Review: The Holstein Omelet maker is much like a waffle maker, but smaller and hardly constructed as well. After several uses I have developed some opinions about it, both good and bad.The Holstein Omelet Iron is certainly not the answer to making the perfect omelet, but what it does produce is almost certain to be accepted by the kids, and is unique and tasty, and fun to eat.The omelet really doesn’t resemble an omelet that’s made on a griddle or in a pan, and is more likely to be found on the breakfast menu at a McDonalds or some other take-out breakfast place. With some imagination, one can turn out an egg, cheese, and bacon omelet that can serve as an entire breakfast. But the results are second to a conventional omelet and it really takes more effort to make using the Holstein than simply rolling up an omelet on the griddle. But, who wants to fire up the Blackstone for one omelet? Probably nobody. But then again, using a frying pan would be quicker and easier than using the Holstein Omelet maker. The omelet maker is still more fun, and it’s probably all up to how well your conventionally made omelets turn out.My first use was an immediate hit simply because I followed the directions exactly, and everything turned out well. On my second attempt however, I forgot some of the directions and ended up with egg all over the inside bottom shell of the omelet maker and all over the kitchen counter. This could be problematic enough for some people to either return it or throw the omelet maker away since the egg will harden and contaminate the inside of the bottom shell. However, the bottom plate can be removed for cleaning. This is not advised and you might wish you had never started. Doing so will also likely null and void any warrantees on the Omelet maker. Just be sure the omelet maker is unplugged from the power source so at least you can’t be electrocuted. All of that nonsense can be avoided simply by following the directions listed in the Holstein Omelet Maker Manual:Rule #1, follow the directions exactly and you should get excellent results. If not, then read Rule #1 again.Rule #2, This iron is HOT! Only touch and lift the lid by the painted surfaces using an oven mitt. The top piece of chrome metal is also very HOT! and takes a long time to cool down after turning off the power. Avoid touching it!Rule #3, Never pour more than two eggs into one mold. This will allow for proper expansion without any of it running over the outside edges of the iron.Rule #4, This is not a toy and some kids are smart enough to learn how to use it correctly. I would caution that unless they can follow directions perfectly and are very mindful that this omelet maker can burn them, then it is better to store it out of sight and it is only operated by an adult.I also spent some time on how the design could be improved. This is far from being a professional piece of cooking equipment. With a little more thought in regard to what could go wrong, one additional provision in construction might prevent any overflow from the mold to run into the bottom shell. A built-in molded disk of high-temperature silicone situated under the bottom mold and creating a seal around the outer edge might be the fix to prevent liquid seepage into the bottom shell, but will probably still spill onto the kitchen counter.

Just whip up a couple of eggs, add some frozen diced peppers, onions, a little grated cheese etc and set the timer on your stove for 10 or 12 minutes and this is my husbands favorite meals, OMG!!!!!

Review: Es muy rápido y los huevos quedan deliciosos. Es importante precalentar y esperar hasta que el omelet infle por si solo para que quede bien cocido.
