Title: You cannot go wrong with this audio interface
Review: I bought this interface in January 2021. I have used it for for guitars plugged directly into the interface, and I have used it with Shure SM57 and SM58 microphones. I have been very happy with the sound quality, the ease of use, the reliability, and pretty much everything else about this interface. I have moved it all over my house and taken a few places in my backpack with no problems.I bought this interface because I wanted something that would be easy to adjust while playing a guitar or keys in low lighting. The Air interface has a giant knob to control the monitor volume, and the input knobs are easy to see and far enough apart that I can grab one without bumping the other. Everything is very spread out, and I can do what I need to do without thinking too much about the interface.I am going to upgrade to an interface with two mic inputs in the next few months. I have looked at the Air 192|6, which has two mic inputs, but am still undecided. I have been happy with the 192|4, but the new Focusrite 2i2 has some cool features and the UA Volt comes with a lot of good plugins. The Air interfaces come with some nice plugins, but they are the same ones you get for free with pretty much every other MIDI controller: MPC Beats (always free), Ableton Live Lite, Mini Grand, DB33, etc. I’d be way more excited if their interfaces came with a choice of a free plugin, because Air makes a lot of amazing effects and instruments. On a side note, if you a just getting into music production and MIDI controllers, I can’t recommend Ableton Live Lite enough. It’s a great choice for newbies, because there are so many how-to videos on YouTube.TLDR: this a very solid interface that does everything well

Title: Digital recording for a FAIR price
Review: The unit works well to digitize the sound which can be limited by Do-It-Yourself recorders such as phone, computer inputs or MICS. I tried so many things before jumping in to record correctly with appropriate hardware. OLD school items such as phones, or even high dollars MICs with plug-ins are not worthy of publishable recordings since the clipping is eliminated by forcing software limits on input (without your desire, as most items do this as a precautionary measure – to NOT ruin the PC, sound card, guts of the equipment, etc… The M-Audio, as well others, was researched and matched quite well with the higher priced items. It also had equal HZ ratings as some that were 5X the cost. I used this specific piece of equipment to record 20 songs for copyright with very good clarity and response. The CONS – the clipping adjustment is peaked at 9 or 10, which keeps you hopping on sound adjustments for various inputs (singing vs. instrument). It is a SOLO output regardless the hookups, which means, all SOUND (even if singing and playing two instruments) is blended to ONE OUTPUT (which is the input to DAW/Software). The drivers, which are FREE to download as well the software does NOT work on older PCs. I have an i5 rockin’ PC that runs like a race horse, BUT will not run this stuff. So, even though the compliance online stated various modern WIN Platforms included, it will not on WIN 7 Home Premium. The FREE software will not either. However, it is running, and did run successfully on my Win 10 computer system. Generically speaking – it worked, and worked well!

Title: Great little audio input device.
Review: In the past I had a large home studio with all sorts of stuff. I sold everything but regretted selling my Apogee audio interface, I could only lay down a track with Mac mics and speakers, the result was not good. I decided to buy a new input device but couldn’t justify spending hundreds on it. I stumbled on this perfect two input M-Audio audio interface and immediately bought it, I owned many M-Audio devices and was happy with their performance. This unit is no exception, it is the perfect songwriters tool or excellent for doing quick demos, acoustic or the whole band. I plugged it in my Mac and it instantly worked and with decent mic the sound was great. I’ve never bought an audio interface that was this easy to install, plug it in and you’re done. I highly recommend this unit for anyone that needs a simple easy to install audio interface.

Title: Does the job, some noise
Review: For guitar input 2 with the gain on 0 actually works well. Little distortion.

Title: Didn’t know i needed it
Review: Okay so for years now I’ve been using my behringer Uphoria, which I thought sounded pretty good for the little machine that it is. Upon swapping to this audio interface you can immediately hear the difference. On my side there’s minimal noise or hum, my Mxl 770 condenser mic sounds brighther, super clear and crisp versus how it sounded with my Uphoria Audio Interface. If your hesitant about purchasing this do not fret this is a great machine for the price.
