Title: Understand what you’re getting, and adjust accordingly.
Review: tl;dr: Good device. Worth getting in place of a normal air fryer due to its greater flexibility. It is, however, still a convection device. Keep in mind when cooking things. This is a first impression so far only using it to cook a few things so far, but my experience has been great – if with a few caveats. For full disclosure, I bought this with my own money and while it was about $30 off. I received what appeared by all accounts to be a brand new unit with that new appliance smell, complete with burning off excess plastics on first use.First things first: this is a fancy convection oven. It’s a convection oven that gets to very high temperatures and has very strong air circulation, but it is – ultimately – a convection oven. Unlike a proper grill, this has a fan that is constantly circulating air which means it will cook things faster. Keep this in mind when using it and make adjustments to prevent overcooking your food. As a general rule, the recommended times that come with the device are to make something Well Done. For this purpose, they’re accurate, but you probably will want to cut a few minutes off of those times for anything less than that. The device itself is straight forward to use. It has fairly standard oven/air fryer controls, but arranged a little differently. There are different functions that effectively change whether the air circulates in the unit or not, and there are macro temperature controls (low, med, high, max) that can be fine tuned from there. Time is only in intervals of whole minutes, which is slightly inconvenient, but Fine. When initially starting up and preheating, this thing is fairly loud. It doesn’t stay loud for long, but can probably wake up a light sleeper in a small apartment. Probably not a huge issue, but one to be mindful of when using for the first time.I’ve cooked london broil and salmon with this using the Grill option (regular circulation) with the recommended temperature settings (High and Max accordingly.) As I mentioned before, be mindful of how much you want to cook something. The recommended settings always err toward Well Done. As an example: in the case of salmon, I cooked it for eight minutes the first time and it was just a touch more cooked than preferred. At seven minutes, it was perfect. As for the steak, don’t make the same mistake I did the first time and keep opening the grill if you have a standard meat thermometer. All of that hot air is just going to escape and it’ll take some time to get back up to temperature again. In my case, I was too paranoid about the doneness of the steak that I ended up slightly overcooking it (medium-well instead of medium-rare) due to having to bring the unit back to temperature in order for it to cook the center properly. In short: get a quick read thermometer, or just follow the guide line of shaving a minute or two off of recommended cook time based on desired doneness. As for the results, they still tasted great. The grill surface does get hot enough to make a nice sear into the meat. Like any convection oven, the circulating air keeps the food from drying out and the cuts of meat were left very juicy and tasty.Cleaning is easy for as long as the ceramic coating lasts. This is the same caveat as literally anything with a Teflon (or similar) coating. If you’re especially paranoid, let everything soak in soap+water before cleaning it off. The brush it comes with does the job, but any sort of dish scrubbing brush (NOT WIRE PADS) should be just as good.Overall, my first impressions of this appliance are great. It is far easier, quicker, tastier, and more convenient than frying off or sticking something in the oven to broil. My wife and I have replaced the air fryer in our kitchen with this since it serves both purposes. If anything changes, I’ll update this review.Update: We’ve cooked a larger variety of things including turkey legs, hamburgers, smaller wings and so on. Everything remains great. It’s been very easy to clean as well with no signs of chipping on the finish. I will say I do hand clean everything, but it shouldn’t make much difference in the dishwasher.

Title: TRULY an AMAZING PRODUCT!!!
Review: WOW! WHAT AN AMAZING PRODUCT!I, as well as my family, have thoroughly enjoyed the grilling, baking, cleanup and time savor this Ninja food offers! I have been able to cut my cooking time in half because this device can grill FROZEN chicken, fish, meat etc. to perfection! You don’t have to take time to thaw anything. For a family of 4 it’s fantastic, super easy to use and really easy to clean! I’m always having to cook in a hurry so this allows me to do just that. You can cook a healthy meal with real protein, not processed, in less than 20 minutes and you will see and taste the incredible grilling capability. It is better than an outdoor grill because there are no carcinogens, no propane is needed, no gas is needed, no scrubbing grill grates needed, no going outside in the rain or cold, & no concern if you’re in a condo. I placed it next to my stove on the counter so I can put the vent on if needed. I have not seen any smoke released except when I used a lot of oil (important to only use avocado or coconut oil). Olive oil burns off very differently and the directions say not to use it. The Ninja is a healthy approach to cooking and eating & saves so much time! The only suggestion I will leave in this review is to make sure to take your food out immediately or even a few minutes earlier than projected. This is because it’s a powerful cooking device and you can easily overcook something. I personally, remove my food from the grill 1 to 2 minutes before the programmed time and keep it covered on a dish to continue to let it cook… It comes out more tender and juicy. Enjoy!

Title: The Ninja AG301 is ok, but the Ninja IG651 is much MUCH better (AG301 is impossible to clean)
Review: (bottom line – the IG651 is super easy to clean, and the AG301 is a HUGE pain to clean. The difference is night and day. Enough said. AG301 is a mess and the IG651 is amazing.)I’ve had my Ninja Foodi IG651 for a few months now and have used it at least 40 times. I absolutely love it and use it at least 3 to 4 times per week. I’m not a gourmet chef or anything, but as a dad in his 40’s who does the majority of the cooking, the IG651 has been an amazing addition and I couldn’t be happier. My goal was to find something easy to use that cooks quick, and the IG651 nails both of those (zero reason to use the outdoor grill anymore … IG651 grills just as well)I liked my Ninja foodi so much I decided to get one for both grandparents for Christmas. In hindsight I should have just paid a little extra to get them both IG651’s, but I went with the AG301 because it’s just them and they don’t need as much cooking surface area. Huge mistake, the AG301 is horrible compared to the IG651. Oh well. I’m a little disappointed, because I did research the AG301 vs IG651 beforehand and don’t recall any of the many reviews I read truly telling it like it is. Urgh. The IG651 is FAR superior than the AG301 because it’s 10x easier to clean.I primarily use the Grill function. The IG651 has just one grill plate, and it’s super quick and easy to pop off and rinse out in the sink, no matter what I cook on it. In contrast, the AG301 has TWO separate attachments you have to use and clean (this giant box that goes in first, then the grill plate that goes on top of it). So that’s double the cleaning work right off the bat because you have to clean two plates and not one. Also, for whatever reason, both AG301 plates seem to get MUCH messier than the one IG651 plate (cooking burgers on the IG651 grill plate results in a little bit of grease that can quickly rinse off, whereas the AG301 plates came out completely covered and nasty and have to be meticulously scrubbed .. yuck)Also, the AG301 comes with this little specialized scrub brush, which must be used to scrub the plate because the plate grooves are so complicated and have all these nooks and crannies. Dude – I don’t want to have to keep up with a little silly scrub brush, and I certainly don’t want to spend 20 minutes meticulously scrubbing AG301 plates each use when I can just rinse off the IG651 plate in 20 seconds. Also, because the AG301 grill plate sits on top of the insert box, it’s super hard to oil the plate. The oil just falls all through the holes. In contrast, oil easily applies to the IG651 and you don’t waste any. Also, the AG301 seems to take longer to preheat, and the AG301 steel filter is a little harder to wiggle out as well. The only thing they’re equal on is the controls. Both sets of controls are pretty similar and both easy to use.Sure the AG301 may be a little cheaper, but if you’re gonna use it a lot, consider paying a little more for the IG651. If you don’t you may regret it each and every time to have to clean the grill.

Review: Absolute rip off. Would never buy another Ninja product. Disgraceful. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. Tried all the convertors but blew electrics. Now have to pay the postage to return this awful product. Just disgusted with the product. Queried it with the sellers when I received it but just does not work properly in the UK even with convertors and just blew all the electrics. The convertor recommended does not work and is not the right one despite ensuring I ordered the right one. Wasted two weeks now for nothing. Never buying a Ninja product again because of this. Utter disgrace.
