Title: Premium Sound Quality at Premium Price
Review: I enjoy small details composer added to their music. I had been using headphones/earphones with dynamic driver other brands like Apple, Bose, Sony and monitor by Shure. Everything dynamic driver I used so far was good, and delivered very good balanced sound that is pleasing to ears. And then I tried Shure 215 Ionic monitors, and it changed whole game. I started noticing minor details in music that I had never felt before. But one issue with Shure 215 is static noise and it was not that comforting for extended duration. And then I tried this monitors from Westone Audio, which fixed issues I had with Shure 215. And I felt it sounded better as well.Foam tips are great for cutting out external noise. I use it in quiet environment at night anyways.Monitors overall does not deliver sub-bass like dynamic driver so that is one compromise. However this WA monitors delivers decent bass to my satisfaction. If I want more bass I just switch to my stereo system – vintage Bose SE-5 (Made in Japan) – still performing like it’s new.Replacement Cable with T2 BAX connection is expensive. And currently there are no other alternative brand that makes these cable. And it’s looks very fragile, really needs extra care with handling.Overall I feel it’s very good product but is overpriced.

Title: They Actually Work
Review: I’ve tried Apple ear buds ( second generation), and Shure 215’s. The Apple kept falling out of my ears, and the Shure’s were not only near impossible put in, but had no bass that I could detect. Maybe I just have funny ears. I bought the Westone’s with great hope but little expectation. But what a surprise! They actually fit, and the sound was great! They aren’t totally sound cancelling but almost, which is fine with me. A little room awareness is good for my purposes. A small nitpick: I am using the foam covers for the earpieces. The foam separated from the hard plastic sleeve that is attached to the foam. The easy fix was to use a small amount of GOOP adhesive to adhere the foam to the sleeve. Tip: Be careful not get any adhesive inside the “tunnel” through which the sound travels. Best way is to put a small amount of adhesive on the outside of the plastic sleeve only. Let it dry overnight.

Title: Small Ears!
Review: I have REALLY tiny ears and these are perfect! I use them for every service at church and these are great! They stay firmly placed in your ears and have about a million inserts so no matter if your ear canals are a little bigger these will fit! The sound quality is amazing too. I will say they are a little heavy on the bass side, but I prefer that anyways. So these work perfectly for me!

Title: Thin sound
Review: If you are a bass player you will not be satisfied with this product… There is no bass and what little bass exists it’s a synthetic tingy sound. If you are vocalist this is a good product as the vocals are clear and true to sound. Another drawback is The cable sucks as it’s thin and constantly gets tangled. I do not recommend this product

Title: Great sound!
Review: I was skeptical of buying these coming from Shure 425’s and 535’s. After a month or two I will say that the sound quality from these Westone’s blow the Shure’s out of the water. My only complaint is the thin flimsy headphone cable. Other than that I am very pleased.

Title: Very nice!!
Review: I was very happy with these headphones!! I could hear much better than with my last headphones. I use them when I play and sing on our praise team at church. I couldn’t believe how much better I could hear!!

Title: Not great headroom for bass guitar, wire a deal breaker
Review: The sound quality on these IEMs is quite good when listening to a recording. The frequency response is outstanding, and the high-end is very clear. When playing bass guitar, though, I find that they distort when my drummer’s kick drum is cranked along with my bass. They don’t seem to have the headroom I need on the low end.The wires on this new design do not inspire confidence at all. They slide over my ears while performing, and they are so thin I’m afraid I am going to damage them. They do not telegraph noise. They also get tangled up like fishing line every time I put them in the case, and that’s even using the black silicone wrap for them. They are delicate and not at all like the robust wires on the old models. Also, I wasn’t clear on the fact that the wires weren’t compatible with the old model. I tried swapping the cables, and all the new cable did was end up pushing the pin into the my old UM 10 unit and breaking it. New wires compatible with this unit cost $150, which is half what I paid for them. The T2 connector is proprietary and hard to shop for.I’ve been using a pair of UM10s for the last six years. I loved the wire on the UM series, how it hooked over my ears and stayed in place. I loved the small compact IEM unit, and how solid my bass sounded in the mix. I will be returning these IEMs and purchasing an old set of UM20s instead. I fully expect the UM20 to be even better than the UM10, but after that I don’t know what else I can buy from this company.

Title: I don’t know if they’re worth it, but…
Review: I don’t know if they’re worth it, but I sure like them. All the people whining about the thin wire are out of their mind. That thin little wire is tough enough to tow a truck. And it fits very nicely around the ear, snugs up behind the head, and runs down to the pack. I’ve had no problems with it at all. If you’re budget conscious, maybe the 3’s are the way to go. If you wanna splurge, buy these. Go ahead and do it. You know you want to.

Title:
Review: Very disappointed in these inear monitors. I spent a lot of money on these and have had nothing but trouble with them. The pegs that hold the rubber parts for your ear have come out. They won’t stay in your ears once sweat get involved. They need the hook that other models have to hold them in place.

Review: These in ear monitors are comfortable, stay in place and offer a number of sizing pieces to ensure they isolate the sound you want from the volume you dont. While performing, these IEMs are clear and produce a realistic bass and when combined with a Shure IEM wireless system you can get so sleep post gig without that thick fuzzy ringing onstage volume creates. I have used them to listen to music on other occasions and they are quality with accurate reproduction as far as i can expect. I replaced Shure 525 se, which were nice as well, but i like the lighter cordage and its easier to conceal. These are very good in all situations.
